In today’s digital age, children & teenagers are more glued to their smartphones, tablets, and laptops than ever before. This constant use of technology alters how they interact with the world and poses significant risks to their physical health. One notable risk is “text neck,” which describes the neck pain and damage sustained from looking down at devices for extended periods. Understanding why kids and teens are at risk for text neck & knowing how to help them can prevent long-term health issues.

2. Developing Bodies: Children and teens are still growing, so their musculoskeletal systems are more vulnerable to the effects of poor posture. Prolonged forward head posture may affect spine alignment and overall growth.

3. Lack of Awareness: Kids often do not realize they need good posture while using devices. They might not notice damage until symptoms like neck pain, headaches, or shoulder pain appear.

Symptoms of Text Neck

  • Frequent headaches
  • Reduced mobility in the neck
  • Pain radiating down arms
  • Upper back discomfort
