Dashing into your favorite restaurant or swinging through the drive-thru happens more often than some people would like to admit.
According to the Bureau of Labour Statistics analyzed by The Food Institute (1), millennials spend roughly 45 percent of their budget eating out.
Compared to four decades ago, the average American family spends at least 50 percent of their food budget on restaurant food. Less than 38 percent of family food budgets were spent on restaurant take-outs (2).
Don’t get me wrong. There’s nothing life-threatening about an occasional night of going out to eat, but consistently eating it can harm your health.
In this article, I will disclose the three most dangerous restaurant meals. These meals are very unhealthy and combine carbohydrates or sugar with protein (3).
Note that combining sugar (or refined carbs) with fat or protein and heating it will cause glycation. This clogs your arteries leading to several health issues. We can hypothesize that the meals on this list are possibly why many American children develop a fatty liver, why much of the population is headed towards diabetes (4), and why the majority suffer from different health issues.
