How Does Upper Cervical Chiropractic Relieve Anxiety?
You see, there’s a link between most of our mental conditions and our body’s physical elements. For example, people experiencing chronic pain have a high risk of becoming depressed. Also, the poor or suboptimal performance of the nervous system can trigger conditions that may make anxiety worse.
There’s a link between disorders of the nervous system and abnormalities of spinal curvature, known as Foundational Shifts. You see, the important nerve pathways in your body are housed in your spine. When these shifts become pronounced (or intense), they cause a “kinking” of these pathways, and this results in symptoms of anxiety.
It is also important to note that anxiety and other conditions can cause physical tension in our bodies, resulting in painful symptoms. It also obstructs the flow of signals through nerve pathways, which only worsens mental issues.
A Foundational Chiropractor can correct these Foundational Shifts, thus relieving the many causes of anxiety. Our non-traditional chiropractic care also helps patients to manage pain and improve the functioning of their nervous system via targeted adjustments. There’s a lot of promise in Foundational Correction concerning anxiety symptom management.
