Burning mouth syndrome abbreviated BMS is a condition that causes a burning sensation in your mouth.
The burning feeling can develop without warning, and you may feel it anywhere in your mouth. However, it is mainly supposed on the tongue, roof of your mouth, or the lips. Burning mouth syndrome can become chronic or may occur periodically (1).
